BAAMP LTD and BAAMP LLC (“BAAMP”, “we”, “us”) are committed to respecting and protecting your privacy, and we will always treat your personal information as confidential. This Privacy Policy, together with the terms and conditions on our Website, explains how we collect, use, share and protect the personal data you give us, or that we collect, when you use baampwellness.com (the “Website”) or our programmes and coaching services.

Your legal rights, and how to use them, are explained in our GDPR and Data Protection Policy. The cookies we use are explained in our Cookie Policy. If you have any questions, please contact us at dpo@baampwellness.com.

Who we are

BAAMP LTD is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16794021, with its registered office at Flat 102, Watermans Quay, William Morris Way, London SW6 2UW. BAAMP LTD is the data controller responsible for your personal data and is registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) under registration reference ZC229343.

BAAMP LLC is our US affiliate, which supplies our programmes to customers in the United States. You can contact BAAMP LLC about your personal data at dpo@baampwellness.com.

You can browse our Website without telling us who you are. We only collect personal data when you give it to us, for example when you place an order, submit a form or book coaching, or through cookies as described in our Cookie Policy.

The information we collect and how we use it

What we collect depends on how you use our Website and services. The sections below explain what we collect, why we use it and the legal basis we rely on.

Your name and contact details

When you place an order, create an account, sign up to our newsletter or contact us, we collect details such as your name, email address, billing and delivery address and telephone number. We use these to fulfil our contract with you: to deliver your order, to send you service messages about it, and to manage your account. We also use them for fraud screening and prevention, which is in our legitimate interests and yours.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have checked that your interests and rights do not override ours. A copy of our assessment is available on request from dpo@baampwellness.com.

Your payment details

Payments are processed securely by Shopify Payments (powered by Stripe), Stripe and PayPal. Your full card details are collected directly by these providers and are never seen or stored by BAAMP. We use payment information to process your order, refunds and returns, and for fraud screening and prevention.

For our accounting records we keep limited transaction information, such as the order amount, the transaction reference and the payment method used.

Your communications with BAAMP

We keep records of our correspondence with you, including emails, contact form messages and social media messages. We use these to provide customer service and support, which is necessary for our contract with you and in our legitimate interests. We may also use them for staff training.

Purchase history and basket contents

We keep details of the programmes and services you buy from us and how your orders were fulfilled. We use this to supply what you bought, to help if there is a problem, and for our records. We use cookies to keep track of your basket while you shop.

With your consent, we may send you a reminder email about items left in your basket.

Health information (special category data)

BAAMP helps people understand and moderate their relationship with alcohol, so some of the information you share with us may reveal information about your health. This includes your answers to our online questionnaire and anything you share during coaching sessions with BAAMP employees or associated clinical providers. Under UK data protection law this is “special category data”, which receives extra protection.

We only process this information with your explicit consent, which we ask for before you submit the questionnaire or begin coaching. We use it only to give you insight into your drinking, to recommend a suitable programme and to deliver your coaching. We never use it for marketing, we never sell it, and we do not share it with Google, Meta or any other advertising partner. We only share it with the people directly involved in providing your coaching.

When you submit the questionnaire, your answers, together with any contact details you provide, are sent securely to BAAMP. We keep questionnaire answers for 12 months and coaching notes for 2 years after your last coaching session, and then delete them securely. You can withdraw your consent and ask us to delete this information at any time by emailing dpo@baampwellness.com.

We do not collect any other special category data, such as information about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, or genetic or biometric data. We do not collect information about criminal convictions or offences.

Technical data

Through cookies and information sent by your browser, we and our analytics and advertising partners may collect your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, the website that referred you, how long you stayed, the pages you viewed and the search terms you used on the Website.

We use this to run and protect the Website, to understand how it is used and to measure our advertising. Analytics and marketing cookies are only used with your consent, as explained in our Cookie Policy. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months and then deleted automatically.

Our website forms, including the contact form, newsletter sign-up and questionnaire, are protected by Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA collects information such as your IP address, device and browser details and how you interact with the page, and sends it to Google for analysis. We use reCAPTCHA because we have a legitimate interest in keeping our Website secure. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and Terms of Service (https://policies.google.com/terms).

Marketing and advertising

We may invite you to take part in optional surveys. We also hold the information you give us when you subscribe to our newsletter, together with your marketing preferences.

We send marketing emails only where you have given your consent or, if you are an existing customer, about similar programmes and services, with a clear option to opt out in every email. We will not pass your data to third parties for their own direct marketing. If you have not opened our emails or bought from us for 12 months, we will stop sending you marketing.

With your consent, we use the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our adverts on Facebook and Instagram and to show relevant BAAMP adverts to people who have visited our Website. This shares information about your visit, such as the pages you viewed and whether you made a purchase, with Meta.

You can stop marketing emails at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in any of our emails or by emailing dpo@baampwellness.com. Opting out does not affect the messages we need to send you about your orders.

How we collect your data

We collect data directly from you, for example when you fill in forms on our Website, place an order, complete the questionnaire, attend coaching or email us. We also collect some data automatically through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).

We may receive data from third parties, including analytics providers (Google), advertising partners (Meta) and providers of payment and delivery services.

Who we share your data with

We use trusted service providers to run our business and deliver our programmes. Most act as data processors, which means they only handle your data on our instructions and may not use it for their own purposes. Some, such as PayPal, Google and Meta, also act as independent controllers for some of their processing, and their own privacy policies apply.
